- Fintech giant Revolut will no longer offer Solana, Cardano and Polygon tokens to U.S. customers.

- Other crypto platforms such as Robinhood and eToro have also delisted these cryptocurrencies following SEC action against Binance and Coinbase.
Fintech Giant Revolut To Cease Offering Tokens in U.S.
Fintech app Revolut has announced that it will halt the offering of Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA) and Polygon (MATIC) tokens for customers in the United States. This comes after Revolut’s provider, digital asset platform Bakkt, decided to delist these cryptocurrencies amid the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) categorizing them as unregistered securities. Starting September 18th, US customers will no longer be able to buy, sell or hold these tokens within their Revolut accounts.
Reason Behind Delisting of Tokens
The move to delist these cryptocurrencies came after the SEC took action against two major digital asset trading platforms – Binance and Coinbase. The commission filed 13 charges against Binance ranging from allegedly operating an unregistered exchange to offering unregistered securities while similar charges were levied against Coinbase for operating as an exchange, broker or clearing agency without necessary registrations.
Other Platforms Doing The Same
Revolut is not the only crypto platform that has decided to stop offering these tokens in the US; popular brokerage firm Robinhood also delisted Cardano, Polygon and Solana after being instructed by the SEC while eToro restricted their US users from opening new positions in various crypto tokens including Algorand, Decentraland, Dash and Polygon.
